1983 FIAT 131 2000/TC Volumetrico Abarth.
Registered in May 2014. Classics Central auction, Bedford Autodrome -
"One of 190 believed made in this specification.
"Rarely does a combination as evocative as this appear for public sale: twin-cam Abarth in supercharged form with a top speed of 118mph, and rarity assured thanks to one of the lowest post-war production totals in FIAT history.
"Shaped by FIAT's desire to dominate the World Rally Championship in the 1970s, cars such as this emerged alongside more well-known derivatives of FIAT's workday saloons and coupes. This example however is more competition racer than family saloon, with stunning performance from the 2.0 litre Abarth engine and its volumetrico (supercharger).
"Manufactured in 1983, it was imported to Britain in 2014, and carries an MoT to 2 June 2016. Supplied with a large history file from both Italy and the UK, which lists maintenance and servicing tasks right back to 1986, this superbly presented example is an ideal collector's piece for the discerning FIAT/Abarth enthusiast and merits the closest of inspections.
Guide range: £7000 to £9000."
